Known as Canada’s own ‘violinistextremist’, Kytami unleashes her new self-titled solo album. Her sound is a dazzling combination of both classical and fiddle styles, often accompanied by deep bass and electronic rhythms.
Kytami previously co-wrote two albums with the award winning band Delhi 2 Dublin and has appeared on albums by The Swollen Members & Sweatshop Union. From Berlin to Bumbershoot, Hong Kong to Shambhala, she has rocked stages around the world, winning audiences over with her dynamic performances.
From the high energy, metal-edged ‘Bass Is High’ & hip hop influenced ‘Kytami Rocks’, to the positive message of ‘Unity’ & dub vibes of ‘Safehouse Anthem’, Kytami reveals both her depth in sound & variety in style, while drawing from a list of talented guest vocalists. The deeper side of her music is showcased in tracks like ’2 Lions’ & ‘Vs.’, both traversing the melodic side of dubstep, while ‘Stay’ delivers a soothing atmosphere over smooth beats.
Spanning 10 tunes in total, ‘Kytami’ is a strong testament to an already successful artist & performer with a very bright future.
